December 02, 2016, 07:19 AM

Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has promoted Managing Director Jonathan Hickman to the role of Co-Head of the Southern Region for its North American Restructuring division. He will lead the region along with Managing Director Brian Cejka.

Hickman specializes in advising companies and lenders in both distressed and non-distressed situations. With more than 20 years of management and corporate restructuring experience, he has advised numerous clients in both financial advisory and interim management roles, including acting as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

“Jonathan’s commitment to the firm and the industry is evidenced by his dedication to serve A&M clients over the past 15 years, and this promotion to regional leadership is a natural next step for him” said Jeff Stegenga, Chair of A&M’s North American Commercial Restructuring practice. “His depth of experience in financial restructuring and turnaround management has been instrumental in helping our clients navigate difficult challenges and enhance stakeholder value.”

Hickman earned a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and serves on the Board of the Carolinas Chapter of the TMA and on the Board of Directors of the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation.
