Stonegate Capital announced that it has hired Jay Fabian as a Director in its Chicago office.

“We are so excited for Jay to join our team,” said Andrea Hedrick, Stonegate’s Head of Originations. “Our primary goal at Stonegate is to be the preeminent lender to the lower middle market space by bringing sophistication and structuring creativity to our customers. With this vision in mind, Jay’s breadth of credit experience and his connectivity to the lower middle-market embody the ideal skillset we want on our team as we grow our business development efforts. Jay will be responsible for covering third party referral sources to originate opportunistic collateral-backed debt facilities, and he will immediately be an integral part of the Stonegate team.”

Before joining Stonegate, Fabian spent the previous ten years at Wells Fargo where he served in various roles at the bank ranging from audit to portfolio management to originations. Most recently, Fabian was a Vice President sourcing middle-market asset based loans for Wells Fargo’s Capital Finance group. Jay is a CFA charterholder, and holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
