J.P. Morgan Expands Corporate Client Banking Group

J.P. Morgan announced the expansion of the Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI) West regional team in Denver, within Commercial Banking. Jeffrey Bloomquist joins as a Managing Director and Michael Lucas joins as an Executive Director, serving corporations in the Mountain states, including Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Nevada and Arizona. Steve Krakoski, who served as the senior banker covering the region, plans to retire after more than 20 years with the firm.
 
“We have a long-standing presence in the West and are committed to working with corporations, providing in depth expertise and customized banking solutions to help meet their complex needs,” said David Shaheen, Head of CCBSI’s West Region and Entertainment Industries Group for J.P. Morgan. “Steve’s brought tremendous value to the team and we’re thrilled to welcome Jeff and Michael, two talented and experienced bankers who have a deep understanding of the market.”
 
Bloomquist has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. He joins the firm from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC) where he was Senior Relationship Manager for Global Commercial Banking, providing financial solutions to middle market companies in Colorado. Prior to that, he spent over 18 years in Syndicated Leverage Finance at BAC, covering the energy, transportation and industrial sectors. Bloomquist received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University.
 
Lucas has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and joins the firm from Rothschild, where he served as Director for the Mergers & Acquisitions practice, covering the technology, industrials, consumer and retail sectors. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado – Leeds School of Business and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business.
