Lazard, Guggenheim Securities Vet Joins H.C. Wainwright as President of Capital Markets

H.C. Wainwright & Co., LLC , a leading investment bank focused on capital markets, equity research and sales & trading in growth industries, including the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors, announced that Richard E. Gormley has joined the Firm as Vice Chairman and President of Capital Markets.

Gormley has over 30 years of experience in the investment banking and capital markets business, having completed over $30 billion of public and private financing and corporate finance transactions. Most recently, he was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets of Guggenheim Securities. Prior to Guggenheim, he was a Vice Chairman of Lazard Freres, where he led the firm’s Alternative Capital Finance business. He has also held executive leadership positions in the capital markets businesses at SG Cowen & Company and Rabobank International. Gormley began his investment banking career at Citibank and BMO Nesbitt Burns Securities.
