Chiron Financial Adds Bell as a Senior Advisor in Houston

Chiron Financial, LLC, a global middle market investment banking firm, announced that Tom Bell has joined as a Senior Advisor in Houston. He will provide leadership in capital markets and M&A transactions and in guiding the firm's global growth. Co-founder Scott Johnson commented “Chiron is delighted to welcome Tom to our team. He is a highly experienced banker who has filled key roles at both JPMorgan Chase and HSBC and has developed deep and broad relationships in finance, energy, and other fields.  Tom is uniquely qualified to assist our clients in managing lender and investor relationships, in attracting new capital, in replacing or restructuring debt, and in M&A transactions.”

Tom’s 30 year banking career includes over a decade of leading and growing national Commercial Banking client-coverage lines of business at JPMorgan Chase (Head of Corporate Client Banking Oil & Gas Group) and then at HSBC (Co-Head of US Large Corporate Banking Group)

As a functional CEO, he was ultimately responsible for all aspects of Group performance including final client/prospect approval, structuring and risk/return retention decisions on hundreds of companies. Tom has comprehensive experience with corporate and investment banking products and services having advised and financed companies through 1980s, the Great Recession and the 2014-2017 energy price crash including:

  • RBL/ABL/working capital/cash flow/international finance
  • Distressed/restructuring situations
  • Acquisition financings
  • Public and alternative capital markets
  • Commodities/interest rate derivatives
  • ESG/I and Reputational Risk evaluation

Tom received his AB (Geology) from Dartmouth College and his MSc. (Geology) from The University of Western Ontario
