KeyBank Business Capital Expands Midwest Team

January 10, 2014, 07:57 AM

KeyBank Business Capital, which provides asset based lending, has hired seasoned ABL banker Christopher R. Snyder. Snyder will work with businesses located in Central and Southern Ohio, Kentucky and Central Indiana. He is based in Cincinnati.

“Chris has exceptional experience helping middle market and mid-cap companies make good use of ABL as a financing tool,” said Laurie Muller-Girard, national director of KeyBank Business Capital.

Snyder joins KeyBank Business Capital from Cole Taylor Business Capital; his experience includes stints with FirstMerit and the former National City Bank. Although his banking career has taken him throughout the United States, Snyder has spent the past decade advising businesses in the tri-state region of southern Ohio, northern Kentucky and southern Indiana.

“This regional economy is growing, particularly in industries such as manufacturing and business services that are good fits for ABL,” Muller-Girard said. “We’re excited at the potential to work with more area middle market and mid-cap businesses.”

Snyder received his BA in mathematics/economics and his MBA-Finance, both from Vanderbilt University. He participated in an international trade and finance program at the London School of Economics.

He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Commercial Finance Association, the Tristate Association for Corporate Renewal, and the Turnaround Management Association.

Key traces its history back more than 160 years and is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. One of the nation's largest bank-based financial services companies, Key has assets of approximately $91 billion as of September 2013.

Key provides deposit, lending, cash management and investment services to individuals, small and medium-sized business under the name KeyBank National Association. Key also provides a broad range of sophisticated corporate and investment banking products, such as merger and acquisition advice, public and private debt and equity, syndications and derivatives to middle market companies in selected industries throughout the United States under the KeyBanc Capital Markets trade name.
