International Factoring Association Hires Marketing Director

February 18, 2014, 07:56 AM

The International Factoring Association (IFA), the largest global association of commercial finance companies, announced that Terri Baker has joined the organization as marketing director. In her role as marketing director, she will oversee the account executive certification program; develop innovative training programs; manage sponsorship opportunities; foster new member relations; and assist in the formation of local chapters.

"The IFA has grown rapidly over the past several years, and as our member’s businesses have grown, so has the need for our association leadership," said IFA Executive Director Bert Goldberg. "Hiring a marketing director is a natural next step in our evolution. Terri Baker will provide a dedicated focus for our executive certification and training programs and promote IFA globally. We welcome Terri to the leadership team.”

Baker has more than fourteen years of experience in the factoring industry. She joins the IFA from U.K.-based Risk Factor Solutions, where she was responsible for the build out of the U.S. sales and marketing platform for the company. Previously she was with K.W. Receivables in Houston, TX. She has been actively involved in the IFA for more than a decade. “I am excited to continue my involvement in the commercial finance industry and enhance the already explosive growth underway in the IFA,” said Baker.

Headquartered in Avila Beach, California and with over 400 corporate members, the International Factoring Association is the largest association of commercial finance companies in the world. Members include factoring companies, asset based lenders and other receivables finance companies.

Since 1999, the International Factoring Association has provided a forum for member organizations to meet and discuss issues and concerns, share best practices, disseminate information and promote a single voice to the marketplace. The principal spokesperson for the factoring and receivables finance industry is the International Factoring Association’s Bert Goldberg.
