Capital One Appoints SVP to Middle-Market Lending Team in Mid-Atlantic Region

Capital One announced that Shelby L. Davis has joined its Middle Market banking team as Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager. In this role, Davis will provide lending and commercial banking services to Capital One's middle market customers in the Mid-Atlantic region. She will report to Senior Vice President and Market Manager Van Knick.

She brings a rich background of experience in corporate and commercial banking and a deep understanding of the Mid-Atlantic market,” said Knick. “Our clients look to us for the expertise and solutions that meet their unique needs, and our team is well positioned to meet these challenges and help drive superior performance for our clients.”

Davis brings with her 25 years of banking experience. She joins Capital One from PNC Financial Services, where she was Senior Vice President of corporate and institutional banking. Davis also spent more than 18 years with Wachovia National Bank, where she held various roles in corporate and commercial banking, government and institutional banking, treasury management, and retail banking. “I am pleased to become a member of the Middle Market team serving the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Davis. “I look forward to building on our team’s strong customer relationships and providing financial solutions to more middle market companies in this market.”

Davis serves as president of The Academy of Music and treasurer of the United Way of South Hampton Roads, where she also serves as chair of the Finance Committee. She holds her Certified Treasury Professional Designation from the Association of Financial Professionals, is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Hampton Roads and a 2011 graduate of the CIVIC Leadership Institute. Davis received her Master of Business Administration from Averett University and a Bachelor of Science degree from The College of William and Mary.
