Capital One announced it has named Dana Scheppmann and David Harper Regional Relationship Managers for long-term care real estate lending. Both Scheppmann and Harper joined Capital One in 2015 when it acquired GE Capital’s healthcare finance unit. In their new roles, they will provide customized lending solutions to clients, drawing on Capital One’s ability to offer balance sheet, agency and HUD lending, as well as treasury management services. Scheppmann will be responsible for the Northeast; Harper will focus on the Southeast.

“David and Dana have both been deeply immersed in healthcare real estate and understand the nuances of the business,” said Chris Taylor, Managing Director, Capital One Healthcare. “I think investors will find immense value in the insights they bring to the table as well as their ability to craft individualized solutions for each transaction.”

Scheppmann has more than eight years of experience in health care real estate, having structured underwritten and closed more than 100 loans during her career. She most recently served as a team lead at Capital One, managing a group of underwriters and portfolio managers specializing in seniors housing, skilled nursing and medical office real estate lending.

Before assuming his current post, Harper was responsible for the underwriting and portfolio management teams for the real estate business, focusing on the medical office, seniors housing, skilled nursing and REIT segments. At GE Capital, he held various leadership positions within its real estate group, on the debt and equity sides, including overseeing its real estate capital markets activities. Harper has more than 18 years of healthcare real estate experience.
