The International Factoring Association (“IFA”) announced the release of its new digital publication The Factoring Guide to Account Management. The book offers best practices drawn from industry experts on a myriad of business processes and contains practical wisdom for account managers and risk managers at all stages in their careers.

“Account managers are charged with efficiently and effectively managing collateral performance for a portfolio of clients and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures in an ever-changing environment,” said Executive Director Bert Goldberg. “This book is a great resource for professionals tasked with designing, implementing and monitoring account management processes for factors.”

The 200+ page book covers a wide range of processes such as onboarding new client relationships, performing daily reviews of client funding positions, monitoring trends and client financial performance, and understanding clients enough to spot both warning signs and additional earning opportunities. Book sections include: New Deal Flow Process; Portfolio Management; Collateral Value; Accounts Receivable Monitoring; UCC Filing and Tax Payments; and much more.

The publication is also a helpful tool for professionals preparing for the IFA’s Certified Account Executive in Factoring (CAEF) certification program. Launched in 2013, The CAEF is a professional certification program for Account Executives involved in factoring and receivables-based finance.
