Mayer Brown’s Van Gorp Appointed Chair of Bottom Line’s Chicago Regional Advisory Board

Mayer Brown partner Jon Van Gorp has been named chair of Bottom Line’s Chicago Regional Advisory Board.

A member of the firm’s Management Committee, Mr. Van Gorp has practiced structured finance law at Mayer Brown for over 20 years. He is an active leader in the communities where he works and lives.

In addition to his continued involvement with Bottom Line, including previously serving as chair of the region’s fundraising and visibility committee, he is a member of the Carrington Charitable Foundation advisory board, which provides support to America’s servicemen and women, and is the treasurer and a trustee of the Kenilworth Union Church. He is also a past fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago.

Founded in 1997, Bottom Line is a non-profit organization that helps first generation college students from low-income backgrounds get into college, graduate, and go far in life. Bottom Line strives to create a far-reaching ripple effect, launched by the transformative power of a college degree and a mobilizing first career, that will uplift individuals, families and entire communities. It is one of the first community-based organizations to focus on college completion and operates regional programs in Boston, New York City and Chicago.
