Alvarez & Marsal Joins Leading Private Equity Industry Body

Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M)  recently joined the American Investment Council (AIC), an advocacy and resource organization comprised of private equity (PE) and growth capital firms and advisors, established to develop and provide information about the private equity investment industry.

Alvarez & Marsal is the first associate member of the AIC that is not a law firm or Big Four accounting firm. The AIC membership will help expand A&M’s comprehensive private equity offerings, showcase the firm as industry thought leader and support clients’ public policy agendas. 

Paul Aversano, Managing Director and Global Practice Leader of A&M’s Transaction Advisory Group will lead relationship management with AIC.  Ernie Perez, Global Practice Leader of A&M’s Taxand and the firm’s Transaction Advisory Tax practice will represent A&M in AIC’s Tax Legislation Working Group. A&M Managing Director Mike Tamulis, will participate in AIC’s Chief Compliance Officers Working Group and Regulatory Committee, as well as its Chief Financial Officers Committee.
