Date: Apr 23, 2018 @ 07:43 AM

David Creamer and Roderick “Roddy” Moon have joined KPMG Corporate Finance LLC as managing directors, further strengthening Corporate Finance’s technology team. Creamer, based in Silicon Valley, will focus primarily on serving the mergers and acquisitions and capital market needs of the firm’s semiconductor clients. Moon, based in New York, will focus on serving clients in the digital media and marketing sectors.

“Adding senior bankers like David and Roddy allows KPMG Corporate Finance to continue to strengthen our robust technology practice in several key growth areas,” said Phil Isom, Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and U.S. Head of Corporate Finance and Restructuring at KPMG. “The industry experience and investment banking knowledge they bring will provide tremendous value to our clients.”

According to Thomson Reuters, KPMG’s Global Corporate Finance technology, media and telecom (“TMT”) team closed 79 TMT M&A transactions in 2017, which places the Firm near the top of the Thomson Reuters’ 2017 TMT League Table, and further solidifies our position as the leading global middle market M&A deal advisor of choice for TMT transactions. The global team of 46 KPMG Corporate Finance senior TMT bankers has delivered outstanding results for clients across 12 countries in four continents.

With over 25 years of experience in M&A and capital markets, Creamer brings a unique combination of industry and investment banking experience, and has extensive relationships with electronics, semiconductor and venture-backed companies.

Prior to joining KPMG, Creamer was the Global Head of Electronics and Semiconductor M&A at Arma Partners. His previous investment banking experience includes serving as the Global Head of Electronics and Semiconductor Banking at RBC Capital Markets. Earlier in his career, Creamer was a partner with Broadview International (prior to its acquisition by Jefferies & Co.) where he headed semiconductor banking.

Moon brings a unique combination of industry expertise and investment banking experience to KPMG Corporate Finance. He is an experienced technology and digital media banker with over 18 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions and capital markets. His primary areas of sector focus include digital media, marketing and advertising technology, online marketing services, and e-commerce across mobile, video and social platforms.

Before joining KPMG, Moon led the Digital Media practice at Waller Capital Partners, a boutique media and technology investment banking firm where he advised growth companies in the technology, adtech, data-driven advertising, online video, online marketing services, and e-commerce industries. He also held previous leadership roles at Oppenheimer & Co. and Jefferies & Company, LUMA Partners, and was a media-focused banker at Allen & Company.
