Date: Aug 30, 2019 @ 08:32 AM

MUFG Bank announced the appointment of Ranjana Clark to a newly created position of Deputy Head of Transaction Banking Group, with the functional title of Head of Global Transaction Banking, effective immediately. She will report to Yoshitake Manabe, Head of Transaction Banking Group. Ms. Clark assumes this new role in addition to her current positions as Head of Transaction Banking Americas and Bay Area President, where she will continue to report in those capacities to Regional Executive for the Americas Steve Cummings.

“Ranjana will work closely with MUFG teams across regions to harness and amplify the synergies of this globally important business,” said Mr. Manabe. “We are excited that she will lead the Transaction Banking Group’s global transformational and strategic initiatives that align with business goals and elevate MUFG’s franchise value.”

Ms. Clark is an experienced and strategic business leader with a track record of success across numerous roles and areas of responsibility. Prior to this role, she led teams to forge new opportunities in key U.S., Canadian, and Latin American markets within Treasury Management, Trade Finance, and Global Trust Services businesses.

In this new position, Ms. Clark will be responsible for managing global aspects of the Transaction Banking business, including strategy, sales, client delivery/service, product development, and risk management. Innovation, product development, and process improvement will be critical to enhance the way we do business and serve clients.

“Ranjana has keen insight into how this business is evolving across a global marketplace, and how new market demands are emerging,” said Mr. Cummings. “We look forward to the leadership she will bring to this new global role in addition to her responsibilities at Transaction Banking Americas.”
