Sterling’s Asset-Based Lending Team Adds Swinney as MD, Asset Based Lending - Originations

Sterling National Bank, the principal subsidiary of Sterling Bancorp, announced that Larry Swinney has joined the bank’s Capital Finance division as Managing Director, Asset Based Lending - Originations. He will report to Dave Viggiano, ABL Business Leader, Capital Finance at Sterling.

Based in Atlanta, GA, Swinney will have geographic coverage responsibility for the South East region of the U.S., focused on new client acquisition with established referral sources to deepen and expand existing client relationships, and evaluate & structure perspective asset-based credit solutions.

Most recently, Swinney was the Director of Originations for Siena Lending Group. Swinney brings over 20 years of asset-based lending experience to the Sterling team, having been responsible for new business originations at MidFirst Bank Business Credit, Huntington Business Credit and Wells Fargo Capital Finance.

Sterling National Bank provides asset-based loans to mid-sized companies operating across a wide range of industries. Sterling offers a variety of flexible financing options through a combination of revolving lines of credit and term loans, employing funds from $5 million to $50 million.
