Date: Sep 07, 2021 @ 08:00 AM

Great Rock Capital announced Justin Anderson has joined the firm as Director of Originations. Anderson will be based in Chicago and is responsible for expanding origination efforts in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Iowa, while also working with Jim Clifton, Managing Director of Originations, in the Illinois market.

“We are happy to welcome Justin to the team,” said Stuart Armstrong, CEO of Great Rock Capital. “The Midwest region has always been a natural fit for our product with its strong industrial and manufacturing presence. Justin’s banking expertise and relationships in the Greater Midwest will help us continue our growth trajectory in this very important market.”

Anderson joins Great Rock with 10 years of experience in middle market lending and investment banking origination roles. Most recently, he was Vice President and Head of the Midwest Region at Metropolitan Capital Bank, where he focused on business development of lower-middle market asset-based, cash flow, and private client loans, in addition to cultivating corporate advisory and investment banking relationships. He earned his B.B.A. in Organizational Management and B.A. in Spanish Language & Literature with honors from the University of Minnesota – Duluth.

“Joining the dynamic team at Great Rock Capital is an exciting next step in my career,” commented Anderson. “I look forward to leveraging my relationships and experience in middle market banking to help Great Rock provide valuable liquidity to support the business growth of middle market companies.”

“There are numerous middle market companies across the Midwest that will benefit from the liquidity and growth capital provided by the firm’s creative and flexible financing structures”, commented Clifton. “I am excited to have Justin join me in the Midwest region as we work together to expand Great Rock’s footprint.”
