Alvarez & Marsal Boosts Corporate M&A Services Capabilities, Appoints Adan as Senior Director

Date: Jun 17, 2022 @ 07:45 AM

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) appointed Marilyn Adan as a Senior Director within its Corporate Performance Improvement (CPI) practice’s Corporate M&A Services group. Based in San Francisco, Ms. Adan will strengthen the group’s corporate M&A lines of service and ability to help clients optimize value from their mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

Ms. Adan brings more than 20 years of experience specializing in M&A integration, program management and enterprise software. She is recognized for leveraging her change management skills to mobilize organizations behind strategic business, operational and technical initiatives. Ms. Adan’s expertise includes extensive enterprise software product management experience and a deep understanding of the semiconductor and integrated circuit markets.

“Over the last two decades, Marilyn has established and led the Integration Management Office for multiple billion-dollar deals to facilitate market consolidation, global expansion, acquire intellectual property and launch new business lines,” said Colin Harvey, Managing Director and National Solution Leader for CPI’s Corporate M&A Services. “In addition to her extensive integration experience, Marilyn’s in-depth knowledge of semiconductors, integrated circuits and software-as-a-service aligns with our clients’ needs and the market’s demands.”

“Marilyn’s accomplished career dovetails with our operational heritage, our leadership focus and our results-oriented mindset. Her addition to A&M advances our ability to solve complex problems that our clients face and maximize value across the lifecycle of their deals.”

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Adan served as Head of M&A Integration at Citrix Systems, where she was responsible for integrating a $2 billion acquisition while maintaining the company’s pre-acquisition revenue growth. She created a global IMO to provide transparency, oversight and governance and communicate potential risks to the executive leadership team. The three-phase integration plan she designed protected the company’s incoming revenue stream while building out required changes to realize the value of the deal.

Additionally, Ms. Adan spent 19 years with Synopsys. In her most recent role there, she served as Program Management Office Lead of Software Integrity Group, leading the transformation of the group’s lead-to-cash operations to double revenue scalability.

Ms. Adan earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from San Jose State University. She is a member of the Silicon Valley Integration Gurus.
