Houlihan Lokey Adds Smith to Strengthen Transportation and Logistics Coverage Capabilities

Houlihan Lokey announced that Burke Smith has joined the firm as a Managing Director in the Business Services Group, bolstering the firm’s sector coverage in transportation and logistics. He is based in Houlihan Lokey’s Los Angeles office.

Smith joins Houlihan Lokey with more than 25 years of industry experience, most recently holding the position of Managing Director and Head of Transportation and Logistics at Capstone Partners. Prior to his role at Capstone, Smith was a Director at Dependable Highway Express in its Harbor and Intermodal group and held investment banking roles at UBS, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Wasserstein Perella & Co. after starting his career at Kirkland & Ellis.

Smith holds both a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University as well as a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
