Date: Sep 05, 2023 @ 08:00 AM

Great Rock Capital announced Scott Sundal has joined the firm as a Managing Director of Originations. Scott will be responsible for expanding the firm’s origination efforts in Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, and across the Southeast region.

“We are happy to welcome Scott to the team,” said Stuart Armstrong, CEO of Great Rock Capital. “His extensive asset-based lending experience and strong sponsor relationships in the Southeast will help us continue our growth trajectory in this important market.”

Sundal joins Great Rock with 25 years of experience in middle market lending. Most recently, as a Director at BMO Harris, he was responsible for originating and managing relationships in asset-based lending across the Southeast. Earlier in his career, Sundal spent over 15 years in origination, underwriting, and portfolio positions at Wells Fargo Capital Finance and Wachovia Capital Finance. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Augustana College.

“I am thrilled to join the Great Rock team to broaden their success across the Southeast region,” commented Sundal. “I look forward to leveraging my relationships and industry experience to help middle market companies in this region benefit from the liquidity and growth capital provided by the firm’s creative financing structures.”

“Scott is an excellent addition to our growing Originations team,” commented Jim Clifton, CCO of Great Rock Capital. “I am excited to expand our coverage across the Southeast, as Scott will team up with Matt Simon and Lori Potter, Managing Directors of Originations, to structure and quickly execute unique financial solutions that maximize liquidity for middle market companies and provide value to our asset-based lending partner and private equity relationships.”
