Date: Sep 12, 2023 @ 08:05 AM

Wells Fargo Commercial Banking announced that Bobby Bans will lead Middle Market Asset-Based Lending (ABL) origination for the West region, which is part of the bank’s secured lending and leasing businesses. The Middle Market ABL originations team is closely aligned with divisions across the bank to support the demand of asset-based lending, specialty lending and equipment finance solutions to the middle market segment.

“Bobby’s extensive knowledge of the industry and experience structuring, executing and developing advanced strategies is what made him the top choice for this role,” said Cyndi Giles, head of Wells Fargo Middle Market ABL Originations. “We look forward to leveraging his rich background and deep experience as we work with our middle market customers and help them grow.”

Previously, Bans was senior vice president and head of Western Region Originations for Bank of America Business Capital. Based in Los Angeles, Bans has nearly 30 years of financial services experience, including overseeing a business development team that originates, structures and executes on financings for both public and private U.S. companies.

Bans holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from California State University – Northridge. For nearly four years, he served as a member of the Board of Advisors for The Posse Foundation, a national initiative which identifies public high school students and extends academic and leadership opportunities by placing them in supportive, multicultural Posses, and partners with colleges and universities to award Posse scholars full-tuition leadership scholarships. In addition, Bans devotes time to mentoring anyone who seeks him out.
