Star Mountain Capital officially opened its Tampa, Florida office.

“We found Tampa to be one of the best places to build businesses, livelihoods, and careers in America. With a diverse talent pool in Tampa at all career levels, it has enabled us to quickly grow Tampa into our second largest office and allows us to continue to develop junior talent through our distinctive year-round paid internship program for local university students,” said Brett Hickey, Star Mountain Capital Founder & CEO. “Another area we are focused on is supporting the communities in each of Star Mountain’s multiple office locations nationwide and in the communities where our portfolio companies are based. Star Mountain has a Charitable Foundation and we have already participated in several local charitable events with some of our team members achieving leadership positions in other local non-profit organizations.”

“I love to hear that one of Star Mountain’s priorities is giving back and getting involved because that is a cornerstone of what makes this community so wonderful,” said Jane Castor, Mayor of Tampa, Florida. “It is an exciting time for Tampa, and we feel that the rest of the world is starting to see what we’ve known for a long time. With great pride and on behalf of our community, welcome Star Mountain to the greatest city in the nation.”

With over $3.8 billion (committed capital including debt facilities as of 12/15/2023) in assets under management, alignment of interest is a core value of Star Mountain, including being 100% employee-owned and sharing investment profits with 100% of its U.S.-based full-time team. Star Mountain is a purpose-built business with one of the largest teams focused on investing in established, profitable, small, and medium-sized private North American businesses (the “lower middle-market”).
