Canyon Partners, a $27 billion global alternative investment manager founded in 1990, announced the hiring of veteran credit investor William Im as a Managing Director based in the firm's New York office.  Im will support the full spectrum of Canyon's private credit investment efforts.

Im brings to Canyon over 15 years of experience in private credit, most recently serving as Director in the Global Credit Opportunities group at BlackRock. In this role, he played a significant part in building BlackRock's private credit platform. Prior to BlackRock, Im held roles at Apax Partners, SVPGlobal, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Im will work closely alongside Scott Borenstein and Davide Amico, Partners and Co-Heads of Private Credit.
