Bibby Finishes 2014 Strong With Charitable Giving Efforts

Building on momentum from 2014, Bibby Financial Services announces its 2015 giving goal of $100,000 cash and in-kind donations and 1,000 hours of community service work. Last year, the business's U.S. and Canada segments and employees donated tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of volunteer work. Bibby Financial Services places special emphasis on organizations and causes in the local communities of its regional offices, specifically groups that support local youth.

Each year, employees within the Bibby USA and Bibby Canada offices choose a number of local organizations and causes to support with both their money and time. Notable efforts include the Atlanta office's $30,000 sponsorship of a local youth soccer league and the California office's sponsorship of City of Hope, a comprehensive cancer center, at the $10,000 level. Other sponsorships and donations in 2014 included partnerships with the March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, United Way, local children's hospitals, local food banks and the Wounded Warrior Project, among others.

"We are proud of the culture we've fostered at Bibby Financial Services and the impact we've made domestically," said CEO Leigh Lones. "It's encouraging to see employees give so freely, both monetarily and with their time. We feel strongly that this character and integrity shines through when conducting business and forming relationships with our customers."

As Bibby Financial Services is focused on helping businesses obtain the funding needed to jumpstart revenue growth, thus adding value the local economy, the company also aims to help sustain those communities through sponsorship of local nonprofit organizations.

This culture of giving stems from Bibby Financial Services' parent company the Bibby Line Group, which promotes employee giving with its corporate social responsibility program Giving Something Back. The company matches employee donations dollar for dollar. Through this program, the U.K.-based company and its employees donated the equivalent of about $1.4 million to more than 600 charities worldwide in 2014.

Bibby Financial Services, a worldwide market leader in business cash flow solutions, bridges the access to cash gap between alternative lenders and traditional banks. It operates offices in 10 North American cities and 15 countries. Its product portfolio, which features factoring and asset-lending solutions, serves emerging and established companies. An approved lender for the Export-Import Bank's working capital guaranty program, Bibby USA and Bibby Canada are subsidiaries of its 207-year-old privately held U.K.-based parent.
