KPMG Announces New Additions to Restructuring Practice

KPMG announced today that Kevin A. Krakora has recently joined the group’s restructuring practice as a principal. With nearly 25 years of restructuring and turnaround experience, Krakora comes to KPMG in Chicago from Mesirow Financial Consulting, where he was a senior managing director in its Restructuring practice since 2004. Previously, Krakora was a principal in KPMG LLP’s corporate recovery practice prior to the practice’s acquisition by Mesirow. Krakora is a Certified Turnaround Professional.

Also joining Krakora in the Restructuring group from Mesirow is Michael McCoy, Senior Associate. Joining KPMG Corporate Finance LLC, also from Mesirow, is Jonathan Weinberg, Director.

According to Phil Isom, head of KPMG Corporate Finance LLC and Restructuring, “We are extremely excited to have Kevin and his team join KPMG’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice, with their deep experience and track record of success in business transformations, corporate turnarounds, bankruptcy situations and financial and operational restructurings. They are an excellent addition to our Restructuring and Special Situations teams as well as our overall platform.”
