Crestmark Announces Promotions at Corporate Office in Troy

Crestmark Bank recently announced the promotions of ten individuals at its corporate offices in Troy: Timothy Pavkovich in credit; Anthony Filice, Bill Nowak and Joel Russell in IT; Colin Madole in the Joint Ventures Group; Stephen Clayton in marketing and communications; Heather Weir in operations; Megan Murray in risk management; and Jamie Carpenter and Linda Sun in special projects.

Jamie Carpenter was promoted to assistant vice president, lead programmer from senior programmer. He reports to Sharmen Hall, vice president, special projects manager. Carpenter joined Crestmark in 2010 as a senior programmer. His previous work experience includes: programmer for American Community Mutual Insurance Company; contract programmer for the Third Circuit Court of Michigan; and developer for Ancor Information Management. Carpenter has a B.S. in business administration (management information systems and economics) from Central Michigan University.

Stephen Clayton was promoted to officer, marketing associate, and reports to First Vice President, Director of Marketing and Communications Lisa Beattie. Clayton joined Crestmark in 2010 as an invoice analyst. In 2012, he was promoted to payment analyst; in 2013, he was promoted to debtor analyst. He transitioned to marketing and communications in 2014 where his responsibilities include inbound marketing. Prior to joining Crestmark, Clayton worked for Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor, and for Guaranty Bank/Best Bank as a personal banker. He attended Sacred Heart University.

Anthony Filice was promoted to IT Officer, network administrator. He reports to Don Kelly, chief technology officer. Filice became part of Crestmark in 2014 with the bank’s acquisition of TIP Capital, a leading equipment leasing and finance company (now Crestmark Equipment Finance, CEF, a wholly owned subsidiary of Crestmark Bank). He joined TIP Capital in 2011 as a network administrator. His earlier career includes: network and security administrator at CM; NOC Tier-1 microwave engineer at Clearwire ISP; cyber security for NCI; tier-one support for Harrah’s Entertainment; network operations for Comerica Bank; and special projects for Ford Motor Company. Filice is GSFC certified, and attended HFCC Cisco Network Academy.

Colin Madole was promoted to assistant vice president, account executive for the Joint Venture (JV) Group. Madole, who was a financial analyst for the Joint Ventures Group, reports to Larry Pearce, president of the JV Group. Madole joined Crestmark in 2011 as a junior field examiner. Since then he received several promotions: in 2012, to staff field examiner; in 2013 to financial analyst; in 2014, to assistant vice president. Madole has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Albion College, and a master’s degree in accounting from Oakland University.

Megan Murray was promoted to assistant vice president, internal audit officer. Murray reports to Chief Risk Management Officer Phillip Yanick. She joined Crestmark in 2002 as a debtor analyst. Since then, Murray has received several promotions: in 2007, to client analyst; in 2014, to junior internal auditor; in 2015, to internal audit officer. Murray has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Defiance College, and is currently in the MBA program at Walsh College.

Bill Nowak was promoted to IT officer, Help Desk administrator, and is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting IT-related systems at the bank’s offices nationwide, including hardware, applications, software, and servers. Nowak, who reports to Chief Technology Officer Don Kelly, joined Crestmark in 2012 as a Help Desk administrator. Nowak’s earlier career includes management of a McDonald’s restaurant.

Timothy Pavkovich was promoted to assistant vice president, debtor credit analyst from officer, debtor credit analyst, a position he held since 2015. Pavkovich, who joined Crestmark in 2011 as an invoice analyst, reports to Vice President of Debtor Credit Iain Michie. Pavkovich has held several positions at Crestmark, including payment analyst and debtor analyst. Previously, Pavkovich worked for St. Cletus Credit Union (now Michigan Legacy Credit Union) in compliance and member services. He has a B.S. from Central Michigan University.

Joel Russell was promoted to assistant vice president, systems administrator. Russell, who joined Crestmark in 2008 as a Help Desk administrator, reports to Chief Technology Officer Donald Kelly. Russell is responsible for application delivery via Citrix technologies, virtual-server infrastructure, video conferencing platforms, and phone systems.

Linda (Li) Sun was promoted to information technology officer, senior programmer. Sun, who joined Crestmark in 2010 as a senior programmer, reports to Sharmen Hall, vice president, special projects manager. Previously, Sun was a software developer for American Blinds and Wallpaper & More, and a programmer/analyst for Aon. She has a master's degree in electronics and computer control systems from Wayne State University.

Heather Weir was promoted to assistant vice president, senior client analyst from operations officer, and reports to Vice President of Operations Douglas Kollman. Weir started with Crestmark in 2006 as an invoice analyst. Later she was promoted to debtor analyst; followed by promotions in 2009 to client analyst; in 2013 to operations team lead/senior client analyst, and later that year, to operations officer.
