Date: Apr 21, 2016 @ 08:00 AM

Wells Fargo Capital Finance announced that Lynn Whitmore will lead business development for the Retail Finance group; a specialized lending division within Wells Fargo Capital Finance that provides customized product capabilities to retailers across North America. Whitmore, who currently manages the underwriting team for the Retail Finance group, will now be managing the business development team to drive new business.  She will work closely with Wells Fargo Capital Finance national loan originations team lead by Jim Marasco to deliver the specialized financing that retailers have come to expect from Wells Fargo.

“Lynn’s depth of experience in the retail sector and our business makes her an incredible asset to our team,” said Keith Vercauteren, managing director and division manager for Retail Finance. “Lynn brings an advantage to the team, having worked directly in retail, she understandings their financial cycles to create customizable product solutions. I am excited to expand on Lynn’s proven ability and to continue to work in this new capacity with her.”

Whitmore, a 16-year asset-based industry veteran, has held various account management, loan portfolio management and underwriting positions. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Whitmore worked at Paragon Capital, which Wells Fargo acquired in 2001, and held positions within both the buying and finance departments of Filene’s, a division of May Department Stores. Whitmore holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
