David Wisen

David Wisen is the Senior Managing Member of EssexStreet Advisors, a national financial, operational and turnaround advisory firm dedicated to commercial and specialty finance and related industries.
ESA helps stakeholders develop and evaluate growth strategies, implement best operating practices, mitigate portfolio weakness, strategically consider and prepare for capital raising efforts and successfully anticipate and execute material transactions. With expertise in a wide range of asset categories and experience with institutional investors and corporate best practices, ESA also serves as a bridge between niche lenders and capital providers.
Wisen has spent over 25 years in commercial finance, most notably serving as Group President- Specialty Real Estate and Equipment at Textron Financial Corporation (TFC), a diversified non-bank lender wholly owned by Textron Inc. During his tenure at TFC, Wisen held positions of increasing authority including President – Resort Finance, Senior Managing Director – Capital Markets Group and Treasurer. He was primarily responsible for the growth and turn-around of new or distressed operating units and portfolios and also led complicated transactions such as securitizations, acquisitions and material workouts. After leaving Textron, among other roles Wisen served as Head of Origination Services at Altisource Portfolio Solutions, a Luxembourg-based provider of services to the US real estate and mortgage industries.
Wisen earned his AB at Columbia University and JD at Duke University.
