Bethani R. Oppenheimer, an attorney in the Atlanta office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been named to the 2020 Executive Committee of the Secured Finance Network (SFNet) (formerly the Commercial Finance Association (CFA). The Executive Committee is made up of leaders from across the commercial finance industry, representing companies ranging from large financial institutions to entrepreneurial lenders and service providers to the secured lending community.

Executive Committee members are elected by SFNet's Board of Directors and help SFNet make policy decisions, confirm new members, and provide advocacy, education, and thought leadership for the industry. In addition to serving as a member of the 2020 Executive Committee, Oppenheimer will serve as the Foundation Development Committee Chair for the Secured Finance Foundation. In 2016, Oppenheimer was named a member of the inaugural class honored with SFNet's 40 Under 40 Award.

David B. Kurzweil, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's Global Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice and co-chair of the Financial Institutions Practice, is a longtime SFNet member and served as chair of the SFNet 40 Under 40 Awards committee. "Greenberg Traurig has been a supporter of the CFA, and now SFNet, for many years," Kurzweil said. "As a former Executive Committee member, I know SFNet will benefit tremendously from Bethani's skill and leadership. She is an accomplished attorney with experience and depth of knowledge far beyond her years. I congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition."

Oppenheimer is an associate in the firm's Banking & Financial Services Practice. She focuses her practice on representing banks and other financial institutions in a variety of asset-based lending transactions, including loan syndications and participations, revolving and term loan facilities, secured and unsecured credit facilities, intercreditor arrangements, and acquisition financings.

Founded in 1944, SFNet is an international trade organization representing all organizations and professionals who deliver and enable secured finance to businesses. According to its website, SFNet's network is comprised of secured lenders, finance companies, factors, service providers, and others. With over 1,000 member-organizations throughout the United States, Canada, and around the world, SFNet brings together the people, data, knowledge, tools, and insights that put capital to work.
