March 24, 2020, 09:05 AM

Gibraltar has hired Mark Pickering as the newest member of its expert business development team. He is an SVP based in Atlanta, covering the states of Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Since beginning his career as a CPA for KPMG in New York, Mark has gained more than 25 years of experience in Asset Based Lending. During his extensive career, Mark’s responsibilities have included sales, underwriting, portfolio management, and collateral examination. Mark’s training and experiences allow him to craft creative and effective financing solutions for companies who need them.

Prior to joining Gibraltar in February 2020, Mark spent 9 years as a Business Development Officer and Principal/Senior Vice President for Ares Commercial Finance and its predecessor First Capital Corporation. Before that, Mark held Atlanta-based sales and credit roles with SunTrust Bank, Guaranty Business Credit and Fleet Capital Corporation. He also established and headed a Lender Services division for Moore Colson, a regional CPA and accounting firm in Atlanta.

Mark is active with the Turnaround Management Association and the Association for Corporate Growth, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Chapter of the Secured Finance Network. Mark and his wife live in Atlanta with their two children and dogs. Mark is an avid golfer who also enjoys traveling and attending sporting events.

“All of us at Gibraltar are looking forward to Mark’s contributions to our team and organization.  It is an unprecedented time for companies in transition and their advisors right now,” says Gibraltar Head of Sales, Anthony DiChiara. “Mark joins us as an ABL veteran who is able to help us continue to serve these companies and their unique needs while supporting our exceptional client service and growth goals.”
