Focus Management Group (FMG), a nationwide turnaround and restructuring firm, announced they have upgraded their team with the addition of Steve Weber. Steve will serve as a Managing Director to meet the firm’s growing activity levels for its turnaround management team and corporate restructuring services.

Steve has significant experience as a turnaround professional and will be a crucial part of increasing our presence in the world of workouts and restructuring,” said J. Steve joins Focus Management Group with over 28 years of experience in transactional consulting, business management, public accounting, corporate finance, litigation support, forensic investigations, and business valuation.

He is a hard-working team player with significant management experience and is able to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals while working in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment.

Steve has experience in manufacturing, service, real estate, defense, and agricultural industries. Within these industries he has worked with clients by analyzing assets available for refinance, forecasting available cash flows to sustain operations, optimizing operations, developing operational metrics to increase profitability and cash flow, and negotiating with credit sources to refinance businesses.

Steve has consulted with several businesses that were in a turnaround transition. He has also acted as the court-appointed Receiver for several real estate developments that resulted in the successful sale of those properties, while shepherding them through litigation. He has served as the financial advisor to companies in bankruptcy, has acted as the liquidating agent in multiple wind-down situations, and provided expert witness testimony in US Bankruptcy Court as well as state court.

Prior to his consulting experience, Steve worked in public accounting, where he developed a foundation of accounting and financial knowledge which is evidenced by Steve’s CPA, CFF, and CTA designations.

Steve has BS degrees in Accountancy and Finance from Miami (OH) University. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association and Risk Management Association.
