Sharma Joins Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Banking Coverage Group

Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking, a division of Wells Fargo & Company, announced that Sandeep Sharma has joined its Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) group as a managing director focused on IT Services, Business Process Outsourcing, Product Engineering and Analytics Services. Based in New York, Sharma will report to Rob Weber, head of Business and Technology Services Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB).

“We are pleased to welcome Sandeep and further strengthen our TMT Coverage group,” said David Gillespie, head of CIB Coverage at Wells Fargo. “His appointment underscores our commitment to the high growth technology services industry and to expanding our Technology, Media and Telecom franchise.”

Sharma was most recently at Morgan Stanley where he led coverage of IT Services, Outsourcing and Digital Transformation companies for more than a decade. Previously, he was a member of the TMT Investment Banking team at JPMorgan covering technology services companies. His banking career began with the Telecom & Media team at ABN AMRO Bank in India and Singapore before moving to New York in 2000.

“With more than 20 years of investment banking experience, Sandeep brings deep industry knowledge, advisory and capital markets expertise to the role,” said Steve Macko, Head of CIB Technology, Media & Telecom at Wells Fargo. “We look forward to his leadership and the contributions he will make to the TMT platform.”

Sharma holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University. In addition, he studied management at the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta, India after completing an undergraduate degree in electronics engineering from Harcourt Butler Technical University in India.
