J.P. Morgan Appoints McDonough as Co-Head of Healthcare for Middle Market Banking

J.P. Morgan Commercial Banking has appointed Kathryn McDonough as Co-Head of Healthcare for the Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) business, leading coverage for Life Sciences companies.

McDonough will lead MMBSI’s national team of specialized Life Science bankers catering to early stage and fully commercialized pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic tools companies. She will work closely with Co-Head of Healthcare Lauren Ruane, who will continue to lead MMBSI's Healthcare Services efforts, supporting healthcare delivery platforms and healthcare technology businesses.

McDonough joins from J.P. Morgan’s Healthcare Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries group, where she covered healthcare companies throughout New England with a primary focus on life sciences. With more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, commercial banking and capital markets, McDonough started her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley where she worked for 13 years in New York, London and Hong Kong. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, McDonough spent 3 years in Leveraged Finance at Citizens Bank in Boston.

McDonough is a graduate of Boston College. She serves on several non-profit boards including the Council for Women of Boston College, and is also active with Choate Rosemary Hall and is a supporter of Boston’s Catholic School Foundation.
