Investors Bancorp, Inc. announced stockholders of the company approved the planned merger with Citizens Financial Group, Inc. at a special meeting of the company's stockholders. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2022, subject to the receipt of required regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

Citizens Financial Group and Investors Bancorp announced on July 28th that they had entered into a definitive agreement and plan of merger under which Citizens will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Investors for a combination of stock and cash.
