FTI Consulting announced the appointment of Katy Quintanilla as a Managing Director in the Merger Integration and Carve-outs practice within the firm’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment.

Based in Dallas, Ms. Quintanilla has more than 10 years of experience integrating businesses and supporting end-to-end transactions. At FTI Consulting, she will help clients stand up the integration management office, identify risks and opportunities, create integration plans and facilitate cross-functional communication for successful merger integrations.

“I am pleased to welcome Katy to our Transactions team,” said Todd J. Smith, Co-Leader of the Merger Integration & Carve-outs practice at FTI Consulting. “Her background working both in-house and in consulting roles provides a unique viewpoint on best practices, common pain points and critical risks of integration, allowing us to better support our clients at all stages of the deal life cycle.”

Ms. Quintanilla serves both corporate and private equity-backed clients, primarily in the technology and energy sectors. Her focus on integration planning helps companies avoid pitfalls that can erode deal value by placing the deal rationale and the employee experience front and center of her execution.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms. Quintanilla said, “I am excited to join FTI Consulting’s Transactions team at such a critical time. I look forward to working alongside professionals who understand industry-specific challenges, enabling us to identify, assess and recommend strategic opportunities for our clients facing pressing and changing issues.”

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Quintanilla was a Manager in Deloitte’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. She previously held various roles at General Electric.
