Babson Capital Fills Key Positions in its Middle-Market Lending Unit

Babson Capital Management, a global investment management firm with more than $188 billion in assets under management, announced two key additions to the management team of Babson Capital Finance.

Eric Lloyd, former head of market and institutional risk for Wells Fargo, has joined Babson Capital Finance as head of Capital Markets. Terry Harris, former managing partner and co-founder of Certus Capital Partners, has joined as Head of portfolio management for Babson Capital Finance.

“We are delighted to welcome Eric Lloyd and Terry Harris for Babson Capital Finance,” said Mike Hermsen, CEO of Babson Capital Finance. “These seasoned industry veterans will play critical roles as we continue to expand our capabilities and build Babson Capital Finance into a leading global finance company serving middle-market companies worldwide.”

Lloyd, a 22-year industry veteran with significant experience in leveraged finance, syndication and risk management, received his B.S. in finance from the University of Virginia. Harris, who joins with 25 years of experience in middle-market finance, including senior management positions at GE Media, Communications & Entertainment, Tower Three Partners and FirstLight Financial Corp., received his M.B.A. from Florida State University.

Babson Capital Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Babson Capital Management, focuses on private-investment asset classes serving middle-market and lower-middle market companies globally, including senior and second-lien loans, unitranche, mezzanine debt and private equity co-investments.
