Alvarez & Marsal Appoints Collins as Senior Director in Energy Practice

July 15, 2022, 07:45 AM

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced the appointment of Houston-based energy industry consultant Trish Collins as Senior Director in the firm’s U.S. Energy practice. Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Collins spent the last four years working with major corporations to create and implement cost-effective carbon reduction strategies.

Ms. Collins brings more than 22 years of in-depth, cross-industry experience. She has served clients across diverse sectors including transportation, chemicals, retail, real estate and manufacturing, advising on energy procurement, commodity risk management and renewable energy.

Ms. Collins’ appointment further signifies the strategic expansion of A&M’s renewables and energy transition expertise following the recent appointment of U.S. Energy Managing Director Julie McLaughlin, a recognized renewable energy expert. Additionally, Ms. Collins’ joining signals A&M’s ongoing commitment to helping energy sector clients maximize value amidst changing business requirements.

“Trish understands the challenges clients face in seeking to capitalize on opportunities at a time when energy markets are being buffeted by increased regulations, ESG concerns and consumer pressures,” said Lee Maginniss, Managing Director and A&M lead for the U.S. Energy group.

Mr. Maginniss added, “Her experience, coupled with A&M’s operational heritage and results oriented mindset, will help clients navigate energy transition to achieve their sustainability objectives.”

Ms. Collins’ professional background also includes serving as a director with Energy Edge Consulting. She has also held consulting roles with Edison Energy, Acclaim Energy Advisory, LPB Energy Consulting and SUEZ Energy Services.

Ms. Collins earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Arkansas.
