Alvarez & Marsal Appoints Lucido as a Managing Director and National Federal Practice Leader

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced that Andreas Lucido has been appointed as Managing Director with A&M’s Public Sector Services (PSS) in Washington, D.C. and National Federal Practice Leader.

Mr. Lucido’s joining demonstrates A&M’s commitment to the Federal government with helping civilian and defense agencies enhance and transform their operations through strategic management solutions focusing on execution, accountability and results. Under Lucido’s leadership, A&M’s Federal practice will focus on clients’ business objectives related to performance and efficiency improvement, financial advisory services, human capital management, strategic cost management, infrastructure and resilience, and digital transformation.

ucido brings more than 16 years of experience supporting C-Suite executives and staff in multiple defense and civilian organizations. He specializes in organizational transformation and has in-depth strategic planning, budget and cost management, workforce modeling, performance management, and digital strategy and analytics expertise.

Prior to joining A&M, Lucido served as Segment Lead with Grant Thornton’s Public Sector practice. He was also an Airborne Ranger in the Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment. During that time, he led logistics operations for numerous joint special operation task forces that included multiple combat assignments in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Most recently, Lucido led a combination of design thinking, innovation and agile development projects for enterprise business platforms. These projects focused on integrating planning processes, disparate data and systems, and multi-objective decision making for the U.S. government and foreign military partners.

His in-depth sector experience augments our ability to help clients maximize value against a growing backdrop of government and economic change.”

Lucido’s notable accomplishments include developing and implementing systematic, data-driven decision tools and models to streamline reporting, reducing costs and improving budgetary functions for agencies within the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. Through the planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) process, Mr. Lucido led the budget strategy and resource allocation modeling for a $6.5 billion organization.
Separately, he headed an $8 billion multinational organization through an analytics implementation to automate reporting and performance metrics. He also oversaw an organizational transformation for a 2,600-person globally disbursed organization, improving its operating capabilities and management functions.

Lucido earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Illinois. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).
