TD Bank announced Steve Boyle has been named Chief Operating Officer, a newly created position reporting to Leo Salom, President and CEO. Boyle will be responsible for scaling the bank’s operations to support its growth priorities, continuing the transformation of its data and analytics function, and ensuring the successful integration of First Horizon – following regulatory approval of TD's definitive agreement to acquire the bank announced earlier this year.

“I'm excited to welcome Steve back to TD. He’s a strategic and innovative leader with more than 40 years of expertise in a variety of executive roles within the financial services industry,” said Leo Salom, President and CEO, TD Bank. “His deep business acumen and proven track record will be instrumental in attracting talent and further strengthening our banking systems and capabilities.”

Prior to his return to TD Bank, Boyle served in a variety of leadership positions at TD Ameritrade including interim CEO and Chief Financial Officer. He led the successful sale of the company to Charles Schwab, a multinational financial services company, fostered strong stakeholder relationships and directed major technology investments to drive business growth. Previously, Boyle served as CFO for TD Bank from 1997 to 2015 and during this time he helped grow the bank substantially through organic growth and acquisitions.
