Leste Group Appoints Four Executives to New Senior Team Roles

Leste Group, a global alternative investment manager, announced the appointment of four executives to its senior team to support the firm’s growing North America private equity and real estate credit strategies.

“Leste is continuing to prove itself as a strong platform for high performing leaders to join and build strategies from private equity to real estate, credit, and special situations,” said Emmanuel Hermann, CEO & Founder of Leste Group. “We are pleased to welcome a number of high performing leaders to help us identify more growth opportunities for the firm.”

Eduardo Karrer and Fabricio Bossle will oversee Leste’s North America Private Equity strategy including origination, transaction structuring, and portfolio management. Mark Hong and Haaris Lali will be responsible for expanding the Net Lease and Credit strategies of the firm. More information on all four executives is below.

  • Eduardo Karrer, Partner, Private Equity – Prior to joining Leste, Mr. Karrer was a Managing Partner at Cia Positiva de Energia where he led the development of a 2,000 megawatt power project portfolio. He also served as CEO of ENEVA S.A. overseeing close to $10 billion in investments, and held senior positions at El Paso Corporation and Rio Polimeros.

  • Fabricio Bossle, Partner, Private Equity – Mr. Bossle was formerly Managing Director at Ascensus Group where he was responsible for the Brazilian company’s international expansion. Before that, he served as CEO of investment management company JCR Group in Brazil. As Executive Vice President of CETIP Auto Financial, he managed a unit valued at more than $1.5 billion. He also served as CEO of GRV Solutions in Brazil, growing the company to over $1.2 billion allowing for an exit via a sale to CETIP.

  • Mark Hong, CFA, Partner, Net Lease – Mr. Hong will work to expand the client base for Leste’s triple net lease strategy, a private credit strategy focused on commercial real estate assets. Mr. Hong was most recently EVP and Chief Investment Officer at MS Transverse Insurance Group. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Clearbrook for more than 10 years. Earlier in his career, he was an analyst for Prudential Financial’s asset management division.

  • Haaris Lali, Managing Director, Real Estate Credit – Mr. Lali will focus primarily on strategic and global business development for Leste Credit Opportunity Fund (“LCOF”). He was previously Managing Director at Stabilis Capital Management, a multi-billion dollar asset manager of real estate private debt, where he led origination and business development. Before that, Mr. Lali was Head of Global Strategy and Business Development for NewSmith Capital. He also held multiple roles at The Carlyle Group, The Rock Creek Group, and Rock Maple Funds.
