SC&H Capital announced Mike Fixler has joined as Managing Director.

Fixler brings more than 25 years of experience strategically advising middle-market companies and their stakeholders to the firm’s Special Situations team. His expertise is focused on distressed mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and various restructuring processes, including in bankruptcy cases.

“Welcoming Mike to the SC&H Capital team signals a key strategic investment in our firm’s capabilities, and reinforces our entrepreneurial spirit, where we embrace bold moves and creative thinking to better serve our clients,” added Pritpal Kalsi, CEO of SC&H. “Mike's extensive experience will be instrumental in SC&H’s plan to expand into new regions across the U.S.”

Fixler will be responsible for sourcing and leading special situations investment banking engagements, guiding public and private companies, institutional investors, and statutory committees. He will also work with special situation buyers and investors on a variety of strategic transactions to optimize outcomes for his clients.

“Mike's ability to navigate intricate transactions and maximize value for clients aligns well with our firm's commitment to excellence and strategic growth,” said Ken Mann, Managing Director with SC&H Capital. “His approach and deep understanding of the industry dynamics will undoubtedly enhance our capabilities, and I’m confident that his insights and leadership will be important assets to our firm and our clients.”

Prior to joining SC&H Capital, Fixler co-led the Restructuring Investment Banking Practice at B.Riley Securities, Inc. and led the Special Situations Group for FocalPoint Partners, LLC before its acquisition. Before corporate finance, he practiced corporate and securities law in private practice.

Fixler received his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. He holds the Series 24, 63, 79 and 82 FINRA licenses and is active in the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Secured Finance Network (SFNet) and Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).  He is also on the Board of the Midwest Chapter of the Anti-Defamation League and supports PAWS Chicago, the largest no-kill shelter in the Midwest.
