February 04, 2014, 07:41 AM

EverBank Commercial Finance announced the expansion of its golf platform with the addition of two veteran financial specialists. Bill Loots has been named sales leader and will be based out of Coppell, Texas. He will report to Mike Sweeney, group originations leader. Mike Burkman has been appointed business development manager, operating out of the firm’s Parsippany office. Burkman will report to Bill Loots.

“Mike and Bill’s addition to the team will help ensure we continue to provide the most effective financing solutions for our golf customers, as we do across all of our EverBank Commercial Finance industry groups,” said Sweeney. “Both bring deep industry expertise that will no doubt enhance the services we’re providing our clients and strengthen our growing golf business.”

A veteran of more than 20 years in the golf finance business, Loots comes to EverBank Commercial Finance from De Lage Landen where he spent four years as relationship manager for the firm’s golf division. Prior to DLL, Loots worked for GE Capital Solutions as regional sales manager in the western U.S., and CitiCapital Commercial Corporation, where he served as vice president of the private label equipment group.

Burkman joins EverBank Commercial Finance from Univest, where he built the firm’s successful golf finance franchise as business development manager. Prior to that, Burkman spent nearly eight years at PNC Equipment Finance. Burkman has spent more than two decades in the equipment financing industry and will be responsible for EverBank Commercial Finance’s relationships with vendors and partners in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states.

EverBank Commercial Finance, a subsidiary of EverBank, provides equipment financing, asset-based lending and specialized financial solutions to U.S.-based businesses. The Vendor Finance Group serves vendors, dealers and manufacturers in the industrial equipment, healthcare, office equipment and technology markets. The Lender Finance Group offers a variety of credit and non-credit products to specialty finance businesses on a national basis.
