June 11, 2025, 07:29 AM

PlainsCapital Bank announced that Cullen Seitz has joined its Austin lending team as Senior Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer.

“Cullen brings nearly two decades of commercial banking experience and a deep understanding of the Austin market,” said Paul Holubec, Chairman of the Austin Region. “He’s built strong relationships throughout the community, and that connection, along with his market knowledge, will be a real asset to both our clients and our team.”

Seitz has more than 19 years of experience in financial services in the Austin metro, with a background in commercial lending, relationship management, and business development. Before joining PlainsCapital, he served as a Relationship Manager at PNC Bank, where he spent six years working with commercial clients across a range of industries. He also held leadership and lending roles at Citizens National Bank, Austin Capital Bank, and JP Morgan Chase.

In his new role at PlainsCapital, Seitz will focus on providing strategic financial guidance and tailored lending solutions to businesses, managing client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities in the Austin market.
“I’m proud to be joining a bank that values long-term relationships and takes a community-focused approach to banking,” said Seitz. “Austin is a dynamic market, and I’m excited to help our clients grow and succeed.”

Seitz earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves as Vice President of the Vista Ridge High School Booster Club and has previously been active with the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, the Cedar Park Youth League Board of Directors, and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
