EverBank Expands Asset Backed Finance Division with Key Hires to Lender Finance Team

July 11, 2025, 08:15 AM

EverBank announced the continued expansion of its asset backed finance division with the addition of three experienced professionals to its lender finance team: John “JJ” Ohlrich and Shawn Bastic as directors, and Ryan Mannell as an associate.

The new team members join EverBank with years of experience at another specialty finance group, where they focused on origination, underwriting, structuring and portfolio management of credit facilities for specialty finance companies. Their collective experience enhances EverBank’s capabilities in delivering customized financing solutions across the specialty finance market.

Ohlrich, Bastic and Mannell will join the existing lender finance group led by Jaime Caruso, head of lender finance, and includes Jon Lustig and Omari Prescod, who were instrumental in launching EverBank’s lender finance platform in 2024.

“We are thrilled to welcome JJ, Shawn and Ryan to the team as their collective experience will be invaluable as we broaden the lender finance division and expand our service offering,” said Jeff Johnston, EverBank head of asset backed finance. “We’re building a best-in-class team, and their addition reflects our long-term commitment to the space. Clients have turned to EverBank for a range of asset-backed financing needs, and our growth reflects their confidence in the solutions we provide. We are excited to continue grow our team and offerings.”

“This expansion reflects our continued investment in high-performing talent and our commitment to servicing the evolving needs of specialty finance clients,” added Caruso. “JJ, Shawn and Ryan bring significant expertise and relationships that will further strengthen our platform.”
