Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced the appointment of Toronto-based Damian Peluso as a Managing Director with its Global Transaction Advisory Group (Global TAG). As Global TAG continues to significantly scale its service offering in Canada, Peluso’s extensive industry expertise, combined with his specialty in supporting owners, families and entrepreneurs with succession planning and divestitures, will further enhance the practice’s position to meet market demand across North America.
 
Since Global TAG’s formal entry into Canada in January 2023, the practice made an immediate local market impact while cementing its wider North American region’s cross-border capabilities. As it scales, Global TAG’s Canada unit (TAG Canada) is attracting notable transaction professionals — including Mr. Peluso and recently appointed Managing Director Patrick Daoust in Montreal — dedicated to driving value creation for clients across the deal lifecycle.

For over two decades, Peluso has guided public and private companies through complex M&A, due diligence, strategic growth and the sale of the business. In combination with his tenured expertise in succession planning and preserving brand legacy, Mr. Peluso has managed hundreds of mid-market and large transactions across industries such as automotive, manufacturing, healthcare and food services. His experience also includes leading intricate due diligence efforts, carve-outs and sale processes. Most recently, Mr. Peluso was a Partner in KPMG’s Transaction Services practice in Toronto, where he held numerous leadership roles including National Private Enterprise Deals Leader and National Automotive Leader.
