Haynes Boone welcomed Litigation Partners Gabriel Berg and Lauren Coppola to the firm’s New York office. Their arrival marks the 10th and 11th partners to join Haynes Boone in New York since the start of 2025.

Berg and Coppola bring significant trial experience and a collaborative approach to resolving high-stakes disputes across industries including telecommunications, financial services, technology, healthcare and consumer products. Known for their creative strategies and business-focused advocacy, they have successfully guided clients through complex commercial jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations.

The diverse practices of Berg and Coppola run the full range of complex litigation. They have tried cases ranging from contract, business tort and fiduciary disputes to those in highly regulated sectors such as securities, cryptocurrency, healthcare, telecommunications, insurance, life sciences and entertainment. In addition to receiving high stakes trial and arbitration victories for their clients, they have also achieved notable wins in appellate courts across the country. They pride themselves on being creative and client-focused in and out of the courtroom.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lauren and Gabe to our New York litigation team,” said Leslie Thorne, chair of Haynes Boone’s Litigation Department. “Their extensive trial experience and collaborative approach perfectly complement our already-strong bench in the firm’s Trials Practice Group, further enhancing our ability to deliver outstanding courtroom and arbitration results for clients in this critical market.”

The additions of Berg and Coppola come as the firm’s New York office continues to expand rapidly, having welcomed several new partners since the start of the year, including
Restructuring Partners Ingrid Bagby and Michele Maman, Real Estate Finance Partner Moni Sarmadi, Insurance Recovery Partner Carrie DiCanio, Derivatives Partner Michele Navazio, M&A Partner Zachary Jacobs and a group of seven asset securitization attorneys led by Greg Cioffi and Greg Berman.

“Haynes Boone offers a platform that aligns perfectly our goals for growth, collaboration and client service,” Coppola said. “We are very excited to join a firm that values entrepreneurial thinking and invests deeply in its litigation practice.”

With Berg and Coppola joining its ranks, Haynes Boone continues to build a premier litigation and trial platform that delivers exceptional results for clients in New York and nationwide. Their arrival further strengthens Haynes Boone’s ability to serve clients in one of the world’s most competitive legal markets, where the demand for top-tier litigation talent continues to grow.

“Lauren and I have spent years building a trial-ready practice that is strategic, fast-moving and fun to be part of,” Berg added. “Haynes Boone brings the culture and national reach to take our work to the next level.”

Since the beginning of 2025, Haynes Boone has welcomed more than 20 lateral partners firmwide, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in private credit, capital markets, M&A, energy, intellectual property and litigation. The additions underscore the firm’s ongoing focus on building depth in core practices across the United States and internationally.
