April 12, 2016, 07:42 AM

Crestmark President and Chief Operating Officer Mick Goik announced the promotion of Susan Hickey to first vice president, assistant portfolio manager for the company’s Eastern Division. Hickey, who has been with Crestmark since its beginning, is based at the company’s corporate offices in Troy, and reports to Jeff Silverstein, senior vice president of the East Division. Hickey has extensive experience lending to numerous industries.

Goik said, “It is with great pleasure that I announce Susan Hickey’s promotion to first vice president. Sue has been with Crestmark since its early days, and is an important contributor to the company’s success, the success of our clients, and to our corporate culture. She has shown great dedication to community outreach, and has been instrumental in leading our financial literacy program for high school students over the past several years.”

Before joining Crestmark, Hickey worked for Triad Financial, a factoring company based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In 1996, she became part of Crestmark when it acquired a controlling interest in Triad. Since then, Hickey has had key roles in accounting, sales, and underwriting. She was an early proponent of software-based collateral monitoring, and was part of a team overseeing its implementation. In the past, she was on the team managing acquisition transitions. In recent years, her primary responsibility has been portfolio management. In early 2015, she was promoted to vice president, assistant portfolio manager for the Eastern Division, which covers all states east of the Mississippi.
Hickey is involved in many of Crestmark’s workplace and community outreach initiatives, including leadership of Life Unplugged – a financial literacy program for high school students. She also is part of the group overseeing Crestmark University – an internal professional development/education program.
