Bibby Financial Services Canada Hires Millar as Vice President

April 26, 2016, 07:56 AM

Bibby Financial Services Canada announces the appointment of Dan Millar to Vice President Portfolio Manager. Millar’s responsibilities will include delivering growth in large ticket factoring and asset-based lending through growing the company’s Canadian client portfolio. Millar, who has strong ties to the Canadian lending market, brings 10 years of business development experience in the lending arena, having previously worked for JD Factors, the Bank of Canada, and the Royal Bank of Canada.

Millar’s hire comes at an ideal time as the Canadian economy is showing signs of a comeback, adding 41,000 jobs in March alone. “Asset-based lending and factoring have proven to be stable and flexible for businesses large to small,” says Calum Williamson, Bibby Financial Services Canada’s Head of Operations. “As the Canadian economy continues to improve, we expect to see more companies turn to asset-based lending and factoring as a wise way to leverage assets and recievables. We know Dan will serve as a crucial partner to our customers, and we are thrilled to have him join the team.”
