Chiron Financial, LLC, a Houston-based investment banking firm, announced the promotion of Colby K. Gibbins as well as the addition of Alban Meteyer to the Chiron Financial team. In recognition of his contributions and increasing expertise, Colby K. Gibbins has been promoted to Vice President. He has had substantial experience in debt and equity capital investments, in investment monitoring and management, and in a number of industry sectors including oil and gas. With a long history in the Houston energy market, his insightful analysis has led to the success of many transactions including a number of private debt placements in the energy space over the past three years.

“Congratulations to Colby for achieving this well-deserved next step in his career,” said Scott Johnson, Managing Director. “It’s a testament to his hard work and ultimate success with clients.”

In addition, Chiron hired Alban Meteyer as an Associate. He is responsible for planning, structuring and executing financing and M&A transactions; performing financial analyses and research; devising and executing strategies that enable companies and stakeholders to capitalize on the core strengths of their business and assets; and acting as a point of contact for clients throughout the transaction process. His combined energy and engineering experience put him ahead of other candidates.

“We’re excited to bring Alban’s considerable talents to our clients,” Johnson said. “He offers valuable insights gained from his international banking background coupled with his engineering expertise specializing in energy. He also has a facility with three languages.”

Prior to joining Chiron, Mr. Meteyer served as an Analyst at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in Houston.
