Heritage Equity Partners (HEP), a premier M&A advisor to distressed organizations and special situations and a subsidiary of Heritage Global Inc., announced Ken Mann is a 10th Annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Award Winner. Mann was named Distressed M&A Dealmaker of the Year. The M&A Advisor is the world's premier leadership organization of M&A, turnaround and finance professionals. The Turnaround Awards recognize the leading restructuring, refinancing and reorganization firms and professionals in the U.S. and international markets.

The nominations, representing over 200 participating companies, were judged by an independent panel of industry experts. The M&A Advisor will recognize the award winners at the Turnaround Awards Gala at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla. on January 28. The event will coincide with the 2016 M&A Advisor Distressed Investing Summit on January 27-29, which will feature more than 200 professionals participating in interactive roundtables led by a faculty of restructuring industry experts and Bloomberg media experts.

"I thank The M&A Advisor and the judges for this honor, and I congratulate the other Turnaround Awards winners," said Mann. "I also want to recognize the nominees who did not receive an award this year, but are worthy because of their excellent work."

Mann has been with HEP since 1995. He has personally handled investment banking services for more than 250 distressed businesses operating in industries such as metal fabrication, food processing, wholesale distribution, hospitality, and plastics, furniture and food manufacturing. Mann is active with the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and has been an educational conference presenter for ABI, the Turnaround Management Association, the Mississippi Bankruptcy Conference and the Florida Bar Association. He has been published in the ABI Journal and other industry outlets. In 2015, Mann oversaw all 20 sale and refinancing transactions completed by HEP.

"While I appreciate the recognition, this award is a testament to HEP's staff, especially our managing directors, who are the 'boots on the ground' for each engagement," Mann added. "Without Hank Waida, Matt LoCascio and Fred Cross, I wouldn't be accepting this great honor."

Heritage Equity Partners (HEP) provides boutique investment banking services for special situations. Recognized as the nation's leader in maximizing value for distressed businesses and properties, HEP uses a proven process that has provided solutions for over 450 clients throughout the United States since 1988, preserving more than 40,000 jobs.
