White Oak Commercial Finance, LLC (“White Oak”), an affiliate of White Oak Global Advisors, LLC, announced today the appointment of Michael Goletz to Director of ABL Originations, covering the Midwest U.S. region. Mr. Goletz joins from WNB Specialty Finance, a division of Woodforest National Bank, where he was responsible for sourcing and structuring asset-based lending debt facilities ranging from $5 million to $25 million.

“Michael brings to White Oak deep experience in underwriting loans to companies in turnaround or similarly stressed situations, where we are increasingly seeing great opportunity,” said David Montiel, Head of ABL Originations for White Oak. “We welcome Michael to a growing team and look forward to even greater activity in Indiana, Illinois and surrounding areas.”

Prior to joining WNB Specialty Finance, Mr. Goletz worked for GE Capital in their Corporate Finance Group as Vice President of Business Development where he originated senior debt deals to middle-market companies. He previously held various positions at PNC Bank and its predecessor, National City Bank, including managing a diverse portfolio of corporate and industrial relationships in the Commercial Banking Group. Mr. Goletz began his career with Lehman Brothers in New York, NY and Chicago, IL as part of a sales team that sold fixed income securities to mid-sized banks and insurance companies.

“White Oak has an impressive reputation for helping clients through challenging situations by taking a tailored and flexible approach to loans, and I’m looking forward to leveraging the firm’s collective expertise to help more small and medium sized enterprises grow and thrive,” said Mr. Goletz.

Mr. Goletz holds a Bachelor’s degree from Butler University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University. He is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association, Commercial Finance Association, and Association for Corporate Growth.
